Harold "Dean" Jamison

Harold Glenn "Dean" Jamison, 72, of 3718 Lime Kiln Road, Sharpsburg, MD, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at his home.

Born May 30, 1934 in Antietam Furnace to the late Harry David and Bertha Mae Burgan Jamison.

He attended Sharpsburg School.

He retired from the Antietam National Battlefield in 1999.

He was a hard working family man who will be great missed.

He is survived by his loving sister, Ethel Irene Jamison of Antietam Furnace; one niece, Reva Mae Crampton of Antietam Furnace; one nephew, Charles "Jim" Jamison of Brunswick, MD; three great-nieces, Jeanne Marie Ecton, Deana Marie Chambers both of Antietam Furnace and Cheree Baker of Brunswick, MD; five great-great nieces, Samantha Mae Gibson, Katie Marie Fisher and Madison Renee Chambers all of Antietam Furnace, Heather Harper and Alexis Baker both of Brunswick; two great-nephews, Robert Eugene Ecton of Woodbine, MD and Darrell Allen Collison of Antietam Furnace.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, H. Lester Jamison and Charles H. Jamison; three sisters, Minnie, Louise and Sarah; one niece, Shirley Irene Collison; and one great-nephew, David Glenn Collison.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at Burnside First Church of God, Mills Road, Sharpsburg. The Rev. Ernie Witmer will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
