Harold Lenhart, Sr.
October 17, 1937 — April 23, 2014
Mr. Harold E. Lenhart, Sr., 76, of Keymar, MD., passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy Stull Lenhart, his wife of 55 years.
He was the son of the late Harry Clayton and Edna May Waltz Lenhart of Frederick.
Mr. Lenhart was past President of New Midway Fire Co., past Post Commander AMVETS Post 2, and a member of Loyal Order of the Moose #371, American Legion Post #282, and the Maryland Fur Trappers. He retired from A. Myron Cowell after many years of service. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Harold E. Lenhart, Jr. and wife Cathy of Frederick and Doris Snouffer and husband Timothy of Smithsburg, a granddaughter Sarah Snouffer, and siblings Ruth Ellen Smith, Harry Lenhart, James Lenhart, Bernard Lenhart, Carl Lenhart and Donald Lenhart. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a son Clayton Lenhart and siblings Shirley Lenhart, Audrey Baker and Howard Gene Lenhart.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, April 27, from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm. Services will be held Monday, April 28 at 1:30 pm
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
