Of Gaithersburg, MD passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2015.
Singh was born in New Delhi, India on November 23, to the late Raj Kaur & Jagjit Singh and immigrated to Maryland in 1975.
Singh lived the American dream. He started as a bus boy when he first arrived and worked his way up to become a successful business owner who served the local community for almost two decades. He has touched so many lives throughout his years because of his willingness to help anyone who needed it. His friends, associates and clients remember him for his sunny disposition and great sense of humor.
Singh was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He truly lived for his family and derived happiness from being around them. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and spent a good portion of his retirement years visiting them. He also enjoyed travelling the world. He just returned from an extended and very enjoyable trip to Europe and India where he was able to see many of his close family and friends, sadly for the last time.
Singh leaves behind a grieving family that misses him very much. His wife of 42 years Surinder Bakshi; daughters Dimpy Bakshi and Angie Tschand; son-in-laws Bikram Bakshi and Vinay Tschand; granddaughters Rhea, Sophie, Serena, and Khloe; grandson Arjan; sisters Raminder Singh, Mohini Singh, Jyoti Dara and their respective families – welcome you to visit with them at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD, March 13 starting at 1:45pm. In addition there will be a Sikh ceremony at the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation Gurudwara in Travilah MD on Sunday March 15 from 5-7pm.
