Handford C. Cook, Sr.

Mr. Hanford C. Cook, Sr., 93 of Woodsboro died on Saturday July 19, 2008 at Northampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick. He was the husband of Florence Baker Cook.
Born on March 12, 1915 in Frederick he was the son of the late John C. and Marsella Hawkins Cook.
Mr. Cook was a dairy farmer and also worked for the Frederick Board of Education as a bus driver.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons Hanford Cook, Jr., and his wife Helen of Rocky Ridge and Larry Cook and his wife Michelle of Frederick. Also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Services: Viewing will be held on Tuesday July 22, from 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, and on Wednesday July 23, from 10-11am at the Monocacy Church of the Brethren, 13517 Motters Station Road, Rocky Ridge, MD. 21778. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Pastor David Collins will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mr. Cooks name should be made to the Monocacy Church of the Brethren.
