Mrs. Gynith Marie Clark, 72 of Middletown, Maryland passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Paul “Frankie” Clark. They were married for 50 years.
Born March 23, 1939 in Rita, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Denny and Jencie Pridemore.
Gynith attended Morris Harvey College in West Virginia and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland. She was an elementary school teacher at Lewistown Elementary and at Visitation Academy.
She helped coach little league baseball and the majorettes. She was also a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed her flower gardens and she loved her dog Edward.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her two children, Pamela Clark of Berkley Springs, WV and Gregory Clark and wife Nora of Frederick, a step daughter, Cheryl Clark of Shelby, North Carolina, grandchildren, Jencie, Blake, Zane and Harmony, a brother, Denny Eugene Pridemore and wife Connie of Nevada and her special friend, Gail Brama.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrytle Coco.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, June 16 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 17
th
at 1:00PM.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
