Guy Pittinger

Mr. Guy E. Pittinger, 88, of Rocky Ridge, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Glade Valley Center.
Born September 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Carrie (Hahn) and Harvey Pittinger, Sr.
He retired from the Maryland State Highway Department after 25 years of service.
Guy enjoyed duck pin bowling, attending antique car shows, and listening to blue grass and country music.
He enjoyed having his antique cars in many local parades.
Guy is survived by his daughter, Judy Ryan; grandson, James Ryan; two sisters, Larue Thomas and Patty Dowla; and several nieces and nephews;
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five sisters, Emma Pittinger, Mary Catherine Pittinger, Dorothy Cavell, Hilda Wilson, and Cora Setherley; and two brothers, Ellwood Pittinger and Harvey Pittinger, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Creagerstown Cemetery, 8619 Blacks Mill Road, Thurmont. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Blaser.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Creagerstown), 8619 Blacks Mill Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
