Greta Lerch

Mrs. Greta Ann Lincks House Lerch, 60, of Knoxville, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her family on Friday June 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late John Paul House who died on April 15, 1972 and her second husband the late Wesley “Gene” Lerch who died on December 4, 2004.

Born on August 21, 1949 in Brunswick she was the daughter of the late Thurston Theodore “Pete” and Hilda Estella Darr Lincks.

Greta’s life was ended after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and F. O. Eagles # 1136 and the Red Hats Society. Greta brought a smile to all who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter April House-Helmick and husband Scott. A son Kevin Lerch and wife Tina. Three grandchildren Dixie Daugherty, Jessica and Justin Lerch. Two step-grandchildren Kaila “Alex” and Michael Helmick. Siblings Thelma Brawner, Freida Kidwell and friend Ray Howes, Carmen Lincks and wife Carrie Ann, Carol Cole and husband Stanley. Brother in law Donnie Lerch and wife Donna, Sister in law Darlene Fry and husband Tommy. Uncle John “ Billy” Darr and wife Epi, and uncle Richard Lee Leatherman and several cousins< Nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by special friends Ronnie and Carol “Sis” Daugherty and the crew at Himes Store.

She was preceded in death by her brother Thurston Eugene Lincks.

The family will receive friends on Monday June 21, 2010 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Memorial Services will be held at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road, Rohrersville on Tuesday June 22, at 11:00am. Pastor Wendall McClellan will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
