Gregory Simons

Gregory Simons, age 68 of Brunswick, MD was called to his eternal home while surrounded by family on Monday , February 10, 2025, due to complications from a stroke. He was born November 9, 1956, in Charles Town, WV to the late Arthur “Sonny” Simons and Regina “Jeannie” (Reynolds) Simons.

When Greg received the call, it was an offer he couldn’t refuse as it came with a huge sign-on bonus and a reunion with family and friends he hadn’t seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a majestic place where he will be socializing, dancing to his favorite Poison song, laughing, playing baseball and enjoying rum and diet cokes filled to the brim with ice.

Greg was a hard worker all of his life and was a Master Carpenter for several years. He then took that knowledge to Home Depot where he helped others find what they needed in order to get the job done.

He loved to swim, his Las Vegas Raiders, all things sports, was one of the funniest people you’d ever want to meet, made every gathering together memorable and enjoyed time spent by the ocean.

Greg is survived by daughter Stacy (Tony) Simons Santos, Grandchildren Payton and Aniston Zimmerman, Brothers Gary (Linda), Richard (Sandy) and Jeff (Tiffani) Simons, sisters Brenda (Dan), Diane Simons and Joyce (Mike) Twigg, his dedicated and loyal partner of 8 years, Cathy Lakin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by parents Sonny and Jeannie, brother John “Butch” Simons and niece Jessica Gwen Simons.

Plans for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
