Gregory Wayne Null, 47, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home while doing his regular evening work out. Born on July, 19, 1970, in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Patricia (Bender) and Robert Null. After graduating from Boonsboro High School, class of 1988, he worked with his brother Ryan at Tristate Electronic Manufacturing in Hagerstown. He then worked for 17 years at FedEx, most recently as a Courier for FedEx Express. Greg enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with his father, riding his Harley and taking care of his Corvette. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and traveling with the Spellars. Greg was a friend to everyone. He had attended Benevola UMC and Victory Baptist Church.
He is survived by his companion of almost 15 years Catharine Spellar; his brother, Ryan Null and wife Terri; their children, Erica, Madison, Macie, Logan, Jayden and Colton Null, his step mother, Jenny Null; his aunts and uncles, Jacob Bender, Jerry Bender, Kathy Ramacciotti, Tom Bender, Barbara Ann Holmes, Bonnie Feigley and Peggy Null, and numerous cousins. He is also survived by Cathy’s parents, Peter and Pat Spellar, brother Andrew Spellar and wife Sherri, their children Jordan, Alex and Emma Spellar; sister Rachel O’Connor and husband Craig. and their children Owen and Claire O’Connor; and Grandma Nannie Matthews; also his closest friends, Bobby Simpson and Darrin Slifer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, Uncle Charles Null and good friend, Paul Goodrich.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Victory Baptist Church, 8014 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. Pastor Ed Wade will officiate. Interment will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery.
