Gregory Allen Hardesty, 62, of New Market, MD passed away peacefully on August 20, 2014. Born on December 22, 1951 to the late Francis and Katherine Hardesty, "The Big G" was an avid golfer and Redskins fan. He enjoyed spending his time most with his family while grilling in his backyard.
Greg married Kimberly Hardesty in 1998 and they lived in Lake Linganore of New Market, Md.
Greg is survived by his wife Kim, and 5 children Melissa Garner and husband Robert Garner, Matthew Hardesty and wife Caroline Hardesty, C.J. Hardesty and fiancé Amanda Anzalone and twins Sami Hardesty and Taylor Hardesty. He is also survived by two grandchildren Jaxon Garner and Maddox Garner as well as three siblings Frank Hardesty, Diane Sliger and Kirk Hardesty along with many nieces and nephews and a black lab named Kobe.
The family will receive friends at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9101 Church St., Union Bridge, MD on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM where a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 11AM. Father Jason Worley will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
