Grant "Scott" Baumgardner, 83, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, Maryland.
Born on December 17, 1932, he was the son of the late Lewis D.and Irene C. (Stottlemyer) Baumgardner.
He was a graduate of Frederick High School. Grant was a veteran of the United States Army having served from Feb. 4, 1953 until Feb. 3, 1956.
He was employed by Seeger's Hardware and Watson's Family Restaurant until his retirement from Goodwill Industries. For 11 years, Grant dearly loved to volunteer at the Frederick Memorial Hospital serving over 20,000 hours.
He is survived by his special nieces, Kathy (Snookie) Kolb of Williamsport, Jimaleen Clingan of Hagerstown and Ann J. Grossnickle of Frederick; many other nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick. The Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
