Grace Nunamaker

Grace Lorraine (Baker) Nunamaker, 81, formerly of Benevola, Maryland, passed from this life to the next on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown.

Born on December 6, 1929, in Benevola, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Richard and Ethel Grace (Reeder) Baker.  Her husband, Paul L. Nunamaker, preceded her in death in 2009.

Grace was a 1947 graduate of the Boonsboro High School.

She was a lifelong member of Benevola United Methodist Church, where she was very involved with many activities.

Grace is survived by her two sons, Gary L. Nunamaker and his wife Marilyn of Sharpsburg, Maryland and Mark T. Nunamaker and his wife Gerri of Winterville, North Carolina; two brothers, Ralph H. Baker of Falling Waters, West Virginia and Nelson L. Baker of Boonsboro, Maryland; and three grandchildren, Lara Cunningham, Nicole Nunamaker and Heather Hale.  She is also survived by one great-grandson, Devin Nunamaker.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her sister, Olive J. Alder and her brother, Richard L. Baker.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Benevola United Methodist Church, 19925 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro, Maryland.  Rev. John H. Dean will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
