Grace Hasmik Garabedian

Grace Garabedian was born on  March 1, 1937 in Jackson Heights, NY.  Grace peacefully passed away on February 6, 2023.  

Grace later made her home in Silver Spring, Maryland where she married Ed Garabedian and raised her family.  She later settled in Mt. Airy, MD and lived there the past 20 years.

Grace leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Mary Grace (Aaron), Jimmy, Jack, Noah, Jacquelyn, Juliana, Alexandra, Elisabeth, John Brian, Jonah and Cassie.  She cherished her great-granddaughter Aveline.

Grace also leaves behind her sister, Virginia Carpenter and her brother, William Nishan, who predeceased her.

Grace loved and was very proud of her 4 sons and adored their wives;  Richard, who predeceased her  (Leanne), Edward (Joanne), John (Rebecca) and Chris (Caryn).  She was a devoted Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Grace  enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking many Armenian foods and telling stories of her youth.  Grace enjoyed crocheting and doing her word puzzles.

 A memorial service is planned for Monday, February 13, 2023 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Mt Airy at 1:00.
