Grace Cecilia Crotts

Grace Cecelia Crotts passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday morning.

 She was born August 10, 1922, in Little Orleans, Maryland to Edith and John Hettenhouser along with her seven siblings. Together with her husband, Cody Crotts who proceeded her death in 1978, raised four children in Wheaton Maryland. 

Grace was devoted to caring for her family and living by the principles of her faith.  She was known for her warm nurturing spirit, selflessness, unconditional love, and witty sense of humor.  Some of her hobbies were gardening, tapping her feet to the Lawrence Welk Show or relaxing to Andre Ru, Reading Readers Digest and romance novels and eating 3 Musketeers, cooking for her family, and especially spending time with her eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  

Grace was survived by Donna Stone (Richard Stone), Gregory Crotts (Linda Crotts), Dennis Crotts (Mary Crotts) and Lawrence Crotts who proceeded her death in 2017.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday February 23rd at Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 between 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

A service will be held on Monday, February 27th at 10:00 AM at Shrine of St. Jude’s Thaddeus Catholic Church 12701 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville MD 20853 with a burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
