George "Nathan" Stiles, age 68, of 18823 Lappans Road, Boonsboro, MD, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 13, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, he was a son of the late George A. and Mary Rohrer Stiles, and stepson of Margaretta Stiles of Hagerstown.
Nathan was a 1957 graduate of Boonsboro High School and had attended Frostburg University.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Boonsboro area.
Nathan was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport.
He had been a director of Farm Credit for 20 years, a member of Farm Bureau and was active in many other farm related organizations.
In addition to his stepmother, he is survived by his wife, Vada Wilhide Stiles, whom he married Aug. 5, 1960; two sons, Kevin A. Stiles and wife Karen of Ankeny, Iowa, and Kirk W. Stiles and wife Amy of Martinsburg, WV; four grandchildren, Logan, Garrett, Olivia and Maggie; one brother, David A. Stiles of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one sister, Linda Thomas of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
