Gloria G. Horine
October 16, 1927 — January 15, 2009
Mrs. Gloria G. Horine, 81, of Frederick was called be with her late husband Willard Bill M. Horine on Thursday, January 15, 2009 whom predeceased her on February 4th, 1979.
Born in Frederick on October 16, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Irene Mackley Geisbert.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wide Awake Sunday school class for 50 years, Associate and Ladies Auxiliary member of the Independent Hose Co., American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, College View Nursing Home Auxiliary and the Rainbow Belles widows group. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, craft shows, going to the VFW pool, and visiting Ocean City.
Surviving are children Willard M. Horine and fiancee Linda Grossnickle of Walkersville; Malinda H. Henke, husband Keith and granddaughter Keirstin Henke of Jefferson; brother Charles E. Tommy Geisbert, wife Nancy, and niece Diann M. Geisbert of Frederick; aunt Evelyn Mackley Hecht, and numerous cousins.
She will be remembered by many special friends including Grace Sheffield, Larry and Doris Wenschoff, Stacey Wenschoff Rumpf, Julia Kennedy, and her backyard neighbor Joann Kehne. She will be greatly missed by her cat Cinnamon and her Granddog Jimmy.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Wednesday January 21 at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
