Gloria L. Caudill

Gloria Lee Caudill, 80, of Thurmont, passed from this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Silverado Frederick Memory Care Community in Frederick. She will be missed by her husband of 63 years, Phillip Daniel "Dan" Caudill, Sr.

Born on October 2, 1943, in Thurmont, she was the daughter of Clarence Franklin May and Ruth Naomi (Moore) May. 

Gloria was a volunteer, proudly did civic work, and was a member of the Waynesboro Fish and Game club. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sewing. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Kenneth Allen "Ken" Caudill; grandson, Darrell Little, Jr. and wife, Holly; granddaughter, Donna Cochran and husband, Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Krita Taylor, Daniel Taylor, and Rusty Hobart; great-great-granddaughter, Lyla Jolee Spencer; brothers, Ray May and wife, Barbara, Charles "Quart" May; sisters, Rose Ray, Nancy Caudill and husband, Bob Boyer, Grace Blickenstaff; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Janice Marshall. 

Gloria was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Marie Little; her son, Phillip Daniel "Junebug" Caudill, Jr.; her brothers, Norman, Raymond, Harvey, Thurman and Clarence May, Jr.; and by her sisters, Dorothy Smith and Patsy Main.  

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main Street in Thurmont

A celebration of Gloria's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Thurmont. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
