Glenn Runkles

Mr. Glenn T. "Buzzy" Runkles , 86, of Knoxville passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was the husband of the late Frances L. Phillips Runkles who died in 2002.

Born on May 27, 1930, in Knoxville he was the son of the late Roy H.and Katie M. Kaetzel Runkles.

He retired as a carpenter with International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Of America, Local 132 in Washington, DC. Buzzy enjoyed carpentry and gardening.

Surviving are four children: Roy T. Runkles and wife Linda F. of Middletown, Wayne E. Runkles and wife Myrtle H. of Jefferson, Kristi K. Payne and husband Jim of Jefferson and Robyn G. Thompson of Falling Waters, WV; six grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Runkles and sisters Doris Runkles and Jeannette Gigliotte.

Friends may call from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, September 28, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick where the family will receive friends from 5-7 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 29, at the funeral home with Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will follow at Knoxville Reformed Cemetery.
