Glenn Rickard, III

Mr. Glenn Oliver "Ricky" Rickard, III, 57, of Thurmont died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Kline Hospice House.

Born August 29, 1958 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Glenn Oliver Rickard, Jr., of Thurmont and the late Eleanor Louise (Griffith) Rickard.

Ricky graduated from Catoctin High School in 1977, and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in chemistry from Mount St. Mary's College in 1981. He most recently worked as a warehouseman for Walmart in Germantown and in his spare time enjoyed cats, music and cars.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Mary Michael Rickard; his brother, John William Rickard and wife, Valeria; his sister, Aleta Lynn Fox and husband, Gary; three nieces, Jennifer Ann Fox Main, Tracey Lee Fox Heims, and Olivia Elizaveta Rickard; and a nephew, Jeffrey Benton Rickard Fox, and a host of grand nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 5th from the funeral home with Pastor Bob Hunter of Thurmont United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thurmont Food Bank or Hospice of Frederick County.
