Glenda Klosterman
June 14, 1939 — February 16, 2012
Glenda R. (Akers) Klosterman, 72, of Rohrersville, Maryland, and formerly of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at her home.
Born on June 14, 1939, in Artemas, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Gladys (Wigfield) Akers.
Glenda worked as a bookkeeper for the Frederick News Post in Frederick, Maryland, retiring in 2002.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn and her husband Joe Philbrick of Wilton, Connecticut, Jill and her husband Bob Ensor of Frederick, Maryland; two sons, Lance and his wife, Kylee Klosterman and Glen and his wife, Mary Lou Klosterman of Rohrersville, Maryland; five sisters, Irene Wilson, Norma Wagner, Melva Land, Twila Bennett and Baby Sis. Glenda is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jason, Shane, and Wade Klosterman, J.D. Ensor, Tyler and Jeremy Philbrick, Adam, Leslie, and Hannah Klosterman; and two great-grandchildren, Kalib and Chase Klosterman.
A Celebration of Life for Glenda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Michael Seger will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
