Glen C. Goodman passed away at his home in Utica, MD on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Glen is predeceased by his father Russel Goodman. He is survived by his loving mother, Sara Goodman of Walkersville, MD, his sister, Gail Bradley, Brother-in-law, Michael Bradley, and his niece, Brooke Bradley all of Frederick, MD. Glen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Utica and a friend of Pastor Bert Lane. Glen also leaves behind his golden retriever companions Katie and Sammy.

Glen is lovingly remembered by his many neighbors in Utica, who benefitted from his talents and companionship; and his friends in the Frederick Community as well as his cousins in Pennsylvania. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Glen was born in Ashland, Pennsylvania in 1958. He graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, MD in 1976, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Western Maryland College (McDaniel).

For many years Glen was a subject matter expert in vaccine research and held numerous patents. He provided products and consulting services primarily to the Biotechnology and the Pharmaceutical industries.

He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, and fishing. He had a passion for anything outdoors and enjoyed sailing and being on the water his entire life.

Glen was well known in the Maryland lacrosse community, playing in high school and college then coaching and serving as a referee as an adult. He was involved in the US Lacrosse Association, The Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference and Hood College Lacrosse. He impacted the lives of many young people and thoroughly enjoyed sharing his passion for the game.

He also enjoyed music and musical instruments. He was a craftsman and collected, repaired and restored string instruments. He had many talents and was constantly working on one project or another.

A service of remembrance will be scheduled in the near future.

There will be no visitation at the request of his mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference in care of Gail Bradley, 24 W. 12th Street, Frederick, MD 21701.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stauffer Funeral Home and Stauffer Crematory, Inc. in Frederick. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the famiy at www.staufferfuneralhome.com.
