Gladys Helen Six

Mrs. Gladys Helen Six, 93 of Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late William J. Six.

Born March 19, 1916 in Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel McKinnon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald A. McKinnon.

She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick.

She retired from Fort Detrick as a clerk and she continued to meet monthly with other retired co-workers.

She was also a member of D.A.R Carrollton Manor Chapter and the American Legion ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of several historical societies.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Six, Jr. and wife Sue of Frederick, a grandson, Charles W. Six and wife Maya, a granddaughter, Kathryn E. Six. She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 8th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Barbara Bornemann officiating.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Keysville, MD.
