Mrs. Gladys Marie Wilt, 91, of Frederick died Tuesday, October 16, 1921 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy.
Born September 2, 1921 in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Carrie Mitchell Mauck.
She loved cooking, especially baking, going berry picking and tending to her garden.
She is survived by a son, Charles F. Wilt, Jr., at home; a sister, Agnes Painter of Tulsa, OK; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Gantt, Jeannine Greenwalt, and an infant sister; seven brothers, James J. Mauck, Robert L. Mauck, Samuel J. Mauck, Archie W. Mauck, Ted Mauck, Jesse Mauck, and Kenneth Mauck; a son, Carroll Wilt, and a daughter, Barbara J. Campbell.
Her granddaughter, Brenda Campbell, and great-granddaughter, Lucy Campbell, will miss their weekly visits with her.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick. Officiating will be an elder from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Those attending are asked to meet at the gravesite in section FF of the cemetery..
