Gilbert Rude

Gilbert Eugene Rude, 80, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Doey's House in Hagerstown.

Born on November 28, 1941, in Chevy Chase, Maryland, he was the son of the late Gilbert Britt Rude and Anne Godden (Leffler) Rude.

Gilbert was a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by his surviving family. He truly loved all his fur babies.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda June Rude; daughters, A. Kathleen "Kate" Hamilton and Kimberlee Erickson; son, Randell Rude; grandsons, Logan, Harrison, Caleb, and Hayden; and granddaughters, Mary and Samantha; and sister, Julia Thomas.
