Gertrude Ann Wales

Our hearts are heavy as we come together to mourn the loss of a beloved soul, Gertrude Ann "Trudy" Wales, who passed away on August 11, 2024 in Bethesda, MD. She was born on November , 1949, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Edgar and Edna Harrington Ford. 

Trudy was a compassionate Property Manager in the Baltimore area known for her dedication to her work and her unwavering kindness towards those she encountered. Her warm and caring nature extended far beyond her professional life, earning her the reputation of a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Trudy's family meant the world to her, and she found immense joy in the simple moments spent with her loved ones. 

Among her most cherished memories were the vacations at the beach, where laughter filled the air and bonds were strengthened. Trudy's passion for fishing and camping also brought her much happiness, allowing her to appreciate the beauty of nature and create lasting memories with her family. 

Trudy leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be treasured by those closest to her. She is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Wales, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Trudy's daughter, Michele Ellison, will always hold dear the moments shared with her mother, as will her granddaughter, Jessica Maurice, and grandson, Eli Conaway.  A visitation in memory of Trudy's remarkable life will be held on August 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home-Thurmont, 104 E Main St, Thurmont, MD 21788. Let us come together to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
