Geraldine Watson

Mrs. Geraldine Ann "Gerry" Watson, 81 of Brookville since 1961, died on Thursday May 2, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Paul Edward Watson for 60 years.

Born on November 30, 1931 in Pickens, WV she was the daughter of the late James William and Dora Ramey Jeffries.

She was the last of 11 children on her side of the family she loved to garden and loved raising her orchids. Gerry worked as a clerk for Safeway Stores, Inc.,  She was a devoted housewife and mother of 6 children, a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, in Sunshine, Maryland.

She is survived by 5 children: Daughter Dora Kathleen (Watson) and husband Thomas G. Ford of Woodlawn, MD, daughter Linda Ann Watson of Brookeville, MD, son Paul Edward Watson, Jr. and wife Melissa of Sharpsburg, MD, son Daniel Joseph Watson of Brookeville, Md and son Ronald Arthur Watson and wife Tammy of Boonsboro, Md. Son-in-Law, Daniel Hundertmark of Eldersburg, Md. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, Robert Golliday, Gregory Combs, Anthony Ford, Steven Ford, Christopher Baker, Heather Baker, Kristina Watson, Jennifer Watson, Sarah Watson, Ryan Watson, Rylee Watson. Eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Valerie Jean Hundertmark.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Homes P. A., 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy where services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday May 8, 2013. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Sunshine.
