Geraldine Cordell, 86, of Keymar, Maryland, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Kline Hospice House. She was the devoted wife of 63 years to Reverend Paul C. Cordell.
Born on October 23, 1932 in Sabillasville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Ruth E. (McClain) McKissick. Geraldine was a devoted pastor’s wife working with many community churches alongside her husband, while working full time. She spent 10 years working for the state of Maryland and the Pennsylvania government offices before going to work for 30 years with State Farm Insurance Company before retiring.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Carmen Cordell of Woodsboro, MD. She is also survived by her niece, Angela Summers of Chambersburg, PA and her family.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, J. Richard McKissick and sister-in-law, Betty J. McKissick.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8pm, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
A funeral service will begin at 11am on Thursday, June 6th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
