Gerald Wayne Trout, aka Jerry, aka Check, 82, of Walkersville, MD passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. He was the loving husband of Glenda Trout, they were married for 26 wonderful years.
Born July 25, 1936 in MD he was the son of the late Arthur and Eleanor Trout.
Prior to retiring he had a lawn care and landscaping business. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Jerry was a follower of Edgar Cayce and his readings and a member of the A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, VA. He was also a longtime member of the NRA and had the love of history and researching the Civil War. He loved to read, especially Sherlock Holmes, Louis L'Amour, and Native American Indians. Jerry was friend of Bill W. Jerry has been sober for 31 years and reaching out to others who needed a helping hand. He was a very caring person. Jerry loved going to Ocean City for sessions by the sea and to catch up with old friends. He also loved working in his backyard, and taking rides in his 1983 Chevy pickup truck.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Chris Trout and wife Kim of South Prince George, VA; grandchildren Nick and Sydney Trout; brothers Del Trout and wife Nancy of Thurmont and Greg Trout of Hagerstown; sister-in-laws Ruby Trout of Myrtle Beach and Phylisss Redding and her daughter Allison and Aunt Lucille Etzler. He is also survived by Glenda's daughter Monyque Bruchey; grandchildren Amber Bunch, Rosie Shipley, Shawn and Christopher Airhart; great-grandchildren Avery Sease.
He is preceded in death by his son Matthew Trout;Glenda's son Tony Airhart; brother Nevin Trout and nephew Jere Trout.
His family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Frederick County.
Services and interment will be private.
