Gerald Lee Brinkman, 59, originally of Baltimore, MD died January 14, 2012 at his home due to complications of an illness. He was the husband of the late Linda Lou Hoban of Frostburg, MD who died December 4, 2001.
Born July 21, 1952 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Dorothy B. Cutter and James Brinkman.
Gerald was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He worked for forty years at Congoleum corporation in Finksburg, MD as a lab tech. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Surviving are his children Todd Brinkman and wife Jill, Candice Durham , Stephanie Weisgerber and husband John and Angela Rogers and husband Matthew ; grandchildren Tristan Durham, Solomon Weisgerber, Julia Weisgerber, Ezekiel Durham, Destiny Weisgerber, Silas Durham, Samuel Rogers, Sara Rogers and Lindie Brinkman; siblings James Brinkman and sister in law Sharon Brinkman, Vicki Clark and brother in law Mark Clark, and Roy Cutter of High Point, NC.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6-9PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 18 at Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD at 2PM where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Kenney will officiate.
Interment will be private.
