Georgianna Smith

June 7, 1946 — October 20, 2021

Georgianna E. Smith, 75, of Mount Airy, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Lorien Life Center in Mount Airy.

Born on June 7, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Peter Frederick and Henrietta Elizabeth Archer Burl.

From 1964 until her retirement she was a research analyst for the Dept. of Defense.

"Georgie" was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved cats and was a supporter of the ASPCA.

She is survived by her brother, George Burl and wife Carole of Mt. Airy; nieces and nephews: Karl Burl of Westminster, Lisa Burl of Frederick and Laura Schuchman and husband Derek of Boonsboro.

Services and interment will be private.
