Mr. George T. Bell Jr. of Frederick died on Saturday, July 18, at his home.
Born on July 10, 1934, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Thuryle Stine Bell.
Mr. Bell was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 24 years. After his retirement from the Air Force he then worked for the Department of Defense at Tripler Army Hospital, Hawaii. After moving to Maryland he worked for 18 years as Club House Manager for the Frederick Keys, an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. He was a member of American Legion Post #10, Boonsboro. He enjoyed his time traveling and was an avid sports enthusiast.
Surviving are two daughters, Terri L. Brierly and her husband R.Bruce and Patricia J. Brauer and her husband Ronald W., all of Middletown. Grandchildren, Becca Owens, Daniel Brierly, Sarah Brierly, Rachel Brauer, William Brauer and Bryce Brauer. Also survived by former wife Shirley Bell of Middletown and special friend Kathy Reichert of Baltimore.
Visitation: Friends may call on Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor John Armstrong will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Keedysville.
