George "Eddie" Dowe, Jr.

George Edward "Eddie" Dowe, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
He was born on October 24, 1943.
He is the husband of Virginia Dowe, whom he married on September 6, 1968 in Capitol Heights, MD.
He served in the United States Navy for 5 years. He retired in 2001 from Verizon, where he was a manager of automotive operations for 35 years.
He served as a deacon of the Myersville Baptist Church for over 40 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons: Michael Dowe, Myersville; Mark Dowe and wife Kelly, Hagerstown; three grandsons, Aiden (Buddy), Declan (Bubba), and Kellan (Tater), all of Hagerstown; one sister, Janet Simms and husband John, Lothian, MD; mother-in-law, Mildred Tiller, Boonsboro.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at 1:00 at Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Brethren Church Road, Myersville. Military Honors will be rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.
