George Stribling
March 9, 1951 — November 13, 2018
Mr. George William David Bitzer Stribling, 67, of Keedysville, former longtime Frederick resident, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Born March 9, 1951 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Thomas Edgar Allen Russell Stribling and the late Margaret Elizabeth Ramsburg Bitzer.
George worked at Feagans Jewelers in Charles Town for over 10 years. He was a history buff and a coin collector. He adored his four great nieces and nephews, and times spent with them were most precious to him.
He is survived by his sister, Vida Mercer and husband, Michael, of Waynesboro, PA; two nephews, Robert Poleto and Michael Mercer; and two nieces, Rachel Ford and Janet Sublet, and their families.
George was predeceased by his siblings, Margaret, Rachel, and Arthur Poleto.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
