George Shih
January 10, 1950 — January 19, 2016
Mr. George C. Shih, 66, of Middletown, MD, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, MD. He was the beloved husband of Louise S. Huang Shih.
Born January 10, 1950 in Taiwan, he was the son of the late Jinan and Yuan Tsai Shih.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Andrew Shih and wife, Catherine, of Clarksburg and Arthur Shih and wife, Melanie, of Urbana; daughter, Annie Shih and husband, Jason, Lagria of Bethesda; two grandchildren, Ryan and Maya; brother, Hsinming Shih and sister, Masako Swinford.
George enjoyed playing golf and traveling the countryside. Twice he and his wife drove across the United States.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick.
