Mr. George Rufus “Ronnie” Sexton, 67, of Frederick, MD passed away February 3, 2014 at his home.
Born on November 15, 1946 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of James and Beatrice (Cheeks) Sexton.
He is survived by two sisters. Shirley Hildebrand and husband Billy, of New Market, MD; Nancy Lidie of Martinsburg, W. Va;
one son, Ronnie Sexton and wife Candy of New Market; daughter Khrys Thompson and wife Angela Davis of Greencastle, Pa.;
six grandchildren Taylar Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Bailey Hopkins, and Ryleigh Davis of Greencastle, PA.; Joshua Sexton, Erin Sexton, and great-grandson Wyatt Eckenrode of New Market, MD.; many nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Bobby Sexton and Maxine Losee, of Frederick, MD.
Ronnie enjoyed time with his family and friends, hunting, and fishing. He will be missed by all who loved him, all those who lovingly called him “PopPop”, and special friends Charlie and Barbara “Chubby” Day and Gary “Pee Wee” Lidie, Sr.. The family will receive friends from 3 - 4:30 pm on Friday February 7th, 2014, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a memorial service will begin at 4:30 pm.
