George Moser, Jr.

George William Moser, Jr., 86, of Rocky Ridge, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home.
Born on May 26, 1932, in New Midway, Maryland, he was the son of the late George W. and Neva Louise (Holt) Moser. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to the late Betty Ann Martin Moser.
He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Cambridge Rubber Factory until its closing and went on to retire from Taney Supply Company, both were located in Taneytown.
George is survived by two daughters, Susan Robinson and husband, Robert, of Fairfield, PA and Cynthia Carbaugh and husband, Preston, of Romney, WV; five sons, Steven Moser of Fairfield, PA, Richard Moser and Gregory Moser and companion, Linda, all of Woodsboro, MD, Timothy Moser and wife, Lori, of Thurmont, and Scott Moser and wife, Melissa, of Rocky Ridge; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Moser and wife, Yon Ok, of Taneytown and Robert Moser and wife, Wanda, of Detour, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Jo Moser; and a brother, Charles Moser.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont and one hour prior to funeral services Wednesday at the Harriet Chapel Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25th at the Harriet Chapel Episcopal Church, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont. The Rev. Sally Joyner Giffin will officiate. Burial will be held at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
