Mr. George A. Moser, 90 of Middletown, MD passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Claire Jury Moser.
Born July 29, 1924 in Jefferson, MD he was the son of the late Wilmer and Virgie Moser.
George was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren where he was a deacon for many years.
He was a farmer, a mechanic for Vernon Stup, worked as a truck driver for Farmers Co-op for 15 years and he also worked in his later years at the Safeway in Middletown.
George was very loyal to his family and his church. In his spare time he also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his loving wife Claire he is survived by his three children, G. David Moser and wife Kay, Dwight E. Moser and wife Linda and Karen L. Palmer and husband John Emmett, step children, Larry Jury, Linda Barone and husband Sal, Barbara Adkins and husband Gary Sr., Saffra Milano, and Susan Wright and husband Donald, grandchildren Dwayne Moser and Benjamin Palmer, step grandchildren, Christy Butler, Shawn Kosmala, Heather Waller, Gary Adkins Jr., Tony Barone, Lori Suter, Jessica Wright, Monique Heriegel, Jason Adkins, Kimberly Forsythe, Travis Robinson, Glen Jury and Drew Robinson, great grandchildren, Geneva Palmer, Eliza Palmer, Ivy Palmer and Owen Moser, step great grandchildren, Daniel and Emily Butler, Kaitlyn Suter, Alexis Adkins, Josh Redden, Gage Suter, Ty Waller, Karissa Forsythe, Sophia Waller, Teagan and Callie Kosmala and William Jury, brother, William H. Moser, sisters, Josephine Peapples, Rebecca Twigg and Darlene Carbaugh.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Moser, a grandson, Kevin Moser, a brother, J. Thomas Moser, and sisters, Velma Rice, Ruth Dixon and Ruby Summers.
He will be missed by his faithful and loving dog, Mya who was always by his side.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, February 6th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, 6213 Picnic Woods Road, Jefferson, MD on Saturday, February 7th at 11:00am with Rev. Tim May officiating.
