George Moran

George Franklin Moran, 92, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. He was born on August 24, 1925 in Shepherdstown, WV, and spent much of his childhood in Washington, D.C. He served in the 86th Infantry Division during World War II, in both the European and Pacific theatres. He was a member of the Peace In Christ Lutheran Church in Walkersville, MD. He was member of the VFW and The American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Annis Moran; two daughters, Sharyn Krauch (Frank) and Deborah Rogers (Bill); a son, Gary Moran (Jan); and 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 11:00 AM at Peace In Christ Lutheran Church, 8798 Adventure Ave, Walkersville, MD 21793. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 AM until the start of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace in Christ Lutheran Church at the above address.
