George LeCompte

Mr. George E. LeCompte, 60, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Heidi A. LeCompte. Born February 8, 1950 in Maryland, he was the son of the late George E. and Bertha Hochhalter LeCompte. Mr. LeCompte served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. George was the co-owner and operator of Preferred Autobody in Frederick. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America in earlier years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating and cars. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Michael LeCompte and companion Heather Campana of Half Moon Bay, CA, a brother James L. Le Compte and wife Marie of Winston Salem, NC., two sisters Nancy LeCompte Cech and husband Claude of Lafayette, LA and Joan LeCompte Robertson and husband Jerome of Rockville, MD. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He will be missed by his beloved dogs Becky and Emma. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Tuesday, October 5, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment Parklawn Cemetery. Contributions may be expressed to the ASPCA.
