George Griffith

Mr. George John Griffith, 44, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie Griffith.
Born July 17, 1971 in NJ he was the beloved son of Patricia Griffith of Mt. Airy & Ocean City, MD and the late Edward Griffith.
George enjoyed socializing with his friends and family. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan and also enjoyed softball, fishing and bowling.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his loving children Ty and Lydia Griffith; step-children Travis and Ryan Tate;; siblings Robin Griffith Grove and husband Kevin of WV, Eddie Griffith and wife Carolyn of Mt. Airy and Lisa Griffith Schulze of Mt. Airy; his Aunt and God Mother Helen Fader Arther of Ocean City, MD ; mother-in-law Constance Hettchen and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9101 Church St., Union Bridge, MD on Friday, July 31 at 11AM. Father Jason Worley will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
