Nicky was the ultimate joy in his parents lives, his family, and to all those that met him. A life too brief, we struggle to understand the reasons why. We take comfort in the joy he brought us all and will constantly visit those memories that are so close, we could almost reach out to feel his sweet soft face. Though Nicky had but a tiny handprint, his reach was larger than life itself. He could capture anyone with an intense gaze that penetrated the soul and made a lasting impression. As we try to move forward through this journey called life, Nicky will forever hold an impenetrable place in our hearts untouched by time, distance or circumstance. Until we meet again sweet boy, let us know you are here, watching over us, as we celebrate your life forever and miss you every day. Mommy and Daddy’s hearts will forever sing your song.
“Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part,
Baby of mine.
Little one, when you play;
Don't you mind what they say.
Let those eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear,
Baby of mine.
If they knew sweet little you
They'd end up loving you too.
All those same people who scold you;
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.
From your head down to your toes,
You're not much, goodness knows.
But you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be,
Baby of mine.”
