George Dennis Covell

George Dennis Covell, 73, of Thurmont, passed away at his home on December 27, 2023.

Born in Frederick, April 8, 1950, he was the son of the late George C. and Beatrice D. Lewis Covell. He was also predeceased by his wife Rhonda Davis Covell in 2015. 

George was a 1968 graduate of Middletown High School and a Naval veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He had resided in Spring, Texas for 30 years and returned to this area in 2001. He worked at RR Donnelley in Thurmont until he retired earlier this year. He enjoyed bowling and was a Baltimore Oriole fan.

He is survived by his three children, Stephen and Dayna Covell of Spring, TX and Christopher Covell of Denver, CO and two grandsons. Siblings, Brenda J. Geisbert, Seymour, MO, Mark D. Covell, Smithsburg, Lisa D. Huffman, Frederick, and Jeffrey S. Covell, State Line, PA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services and interment will be private.
