George Cavenee

George C. Cavenee, 66, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Frederick.
Born on December 4, 1950, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Trout) Arnold.
George graduated from Thomas Johnson High School and afterwards spent four years with the United States Navy. He was employed for 32 years with Thales Communications retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Nancy F. Cavenee; sons, Joseph A. Cavenee and wife, Melissa, of Emmitsburg and George Michael Cavenee and wife, Andrea of Thurmont; six grandchildren; brother, Kim L. Cavenee and wife, Linda, of Hagerstown; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
