Genevieve Elizabeth Boggs

Mrs. Genevieve Elizabeth Boggs went to live with our Lord on November 27, 2009, after struggling from a severe stroke May 9, 2009. She was a patient at Pleasant View Nursing home in Mt. Airy, MD

Prior to her stroke she loved independently at Spring Ridge Senior Apts in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Boggs, Sr.

Mrs. Boggs was born November 4, 1920 in White Sulphur Springs, WV, the daughter of the late William Lake and Connie Mae McGuire White.

After marriage she moved to Baltimore, MD where she worked and raised her five children. Mrs. Boggs was in the restaurant management industry, where she successfully opened and managed restaurants in Baltimore and Tanneytown, MD and Sulphur Springs, WV.

Mrs. Boggs found extreme joy and happiness spending time with family, friends and helping others.

She is survived by her children Karen E. Burrill, Mt. Airy, MD, Patricia Merryman Gallatin, TN, Gary Boggs Rutledge, TN and Richard Boggs of Hanover, PA, sister Drama Chestnut White Sulphur Springs, WV, brother Bobby White of Dover DE. , 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Charles J.Boggs, Jr. Two granddaughters Jessica Lynn Burill and Mandy Boggs, sisters Shirley Highlander and Margaret Sizemore and brothers Tommy, Paul and Donald White and her long time companion James O'Toole.

Services: Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Finksburg, MD on Tuesday, December 1, at 12:00 p.m. With her nephew Pastor Frank Naglic officiating.
