Mrs. Genevieve V. Pearl Cooley, 101, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Pearl and Davis “Jr” Cooley.
Born February 20, 1914 in Virginia she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Baker Piper.
Mrs. Cooley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick. She enjoyed spending time with her family, needlework, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her children George Calvin Pearl, Sr. and wife Evelyn of Mt. Pleasant, Doris Baker , Hazel Culler, Leona Kronstadt and husband Victor all of Hagerstown, a sister Estella Barnhart of Frederick and a brother Herman Piper of Middletown, Seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Madeline Pearl, Sylvia Flook, Elsie Rollison, andMadeline Pears, and brothers Norman, Leslie, Douglas, Leonard and Delbert Piper.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, November 30, from 11:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm with Rev. Michael Simane officiating.
Interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Jefferson, Md
