Genevieve Grove

Ms. Genevieve Mary Grove "Genny" of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on New Years Day, 2013. She was 80 years old. She was the loving mother of three daughters, Maya Murray and husband Glenn of Thurmont, Pamela Weinberg and husband Rand of Urbana, and Cheryl Young and husband Jeff of Keedysville. Surviving in addition to her daughters are her brother, Clifford "Bubba" Norton, Jr., six grandchildren, Candace Grove, Jessee Downs, Bryan Murray, Rachel Jewell, Cody Weinberg and Madison Weinberg; seven great-grandchildren, Kaelan, Summer, Jayda, Eli, Knyle, Leah and Connor, and many other nieces and nephews. Genny was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland "Buster" Grove and by her sister, Charlotte Norton McGregor. Genny retired from Airpax of Frederick as a Quality Control Inspector. She enjoyed playing bingo and holders at the Moose Club and loved dancing, listening to music, bowling, fishing, playing games and most of all, spending time with her family. Genny was a devoted Christian and attended the Catoctin Church of Christ in Thurmont. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 2-5 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, MD 21788. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Minister Richard Long will officiate. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be private.
