Genevieve Bell

Genevieve M. (Itnyre) Bell, 87, of  Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Charlotte's Home in Boonsboro, while surrounded by her family.

Born on May 26, 1927 in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Grayson Edward and Lily Mary (O'Leary) Itnyre.  Her husband of 63 years, Robert "Bob" R. Bell, preceded her in death on June 20, 2014.

Genevieve was a 1945 graduate from Boonsboro High School.

She was a lifelong member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro, and her life's work and pleasure was being a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita Sweigert of Boonsboro; two sons,  David Bell of Washington, D.C. and Steven Bell and his wife, Beth, of Hagerstown, Maryland.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Danielle Sweigert, and Christopher and Kaitlin Bell; and three great grandchildren, Aniiah and Karisma Sweigert, and Griffin Carper.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Rev. Dr. Ray Roberson will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will be held privately.

Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
