Genevieve Annelli

Mrs. Genevieve M. Annelli, 98, of New Market, MD died Monday, September 14, 2015 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph G. Annelli, who predeceased her in 1997.

Born September 28, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Kowecka) Czyscinski.

Genevieve lived life to the fullest when many her age were slowing down. She enjoyed many adventures with her son and his family, traveling to England, Ireland, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Germany and Austria not to mention many Caribbean Islands, Mexico and Belize on a number of cruises. She spent the last 27 years living with her son and his family, the last 8 with dementia that became progressively worse over the last 3 years with seriously events in the last 3 months. She died just two weeks short of her 99th birthday.

She is survived by her son, Joe, and wife, Tricia, of New Market, MD; two grandchildren, Katie Hager (Chuck) and Jay Annelli (Garima); three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Dylan and MacKenzie; a nephew, Kenneth Czyscinski (Carolyn); nieces, Vivian Leary (Bob), Eleanor Piren ( John), Helen Califano (Robert), Kathy Merrill (Danny), and Rita Johnson (George) and their families. She also will be remembered by many cousins, additional family members and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy. A service will begin at 7 p.m. with Fr. Mike Jendrek officiating.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 18th at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
