Gene Davidson

Gene Hughes Davidson, 62; died at his home in Frederick, Maryland surrounded by his family on April 22, 2018 after a battle with cancer.

Gene was born on October 26, 1955 in Richmond, Virginia and attended the University of Virginia.  He and his wife of 25 years, Sandee, and son, Corey have called Frederick their home for over 17 years.  Gene had an esteemed career as a Systems Engineer.  He was well respected for his technical expertise and regularly received accolades for his ability to interact with clients.  Gene was an avid reader-collector of leather bound books, a lover of baseball, a die hard Redskins and Orioles fan, and an enjoyer of craft beer.  Above all, Gene made his life about being an amazing husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hall Davidson; son Corey Ellis Davidson; mother Julia Holland Davidson, Richmond, VA; brother Phillip Earl Davidson and wife Susan, Mineral, VA; brother James Michael Davidson, Richmond, VA; brother Russell Keith Davidson and wife Rosemary, Milford, MI; sister in law Deborah Anne Hall, Albuquerque, NM; brother in law Thomas Eugene Hall and wife Stacy, Bristow, VA; and nephews Thomas Eugene Hall, Jr. Charles Phillip Davidson and William Russell Davidson.  Gene was predeceased by his father Clarence (Punk) Davidson, Richmond; VA.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.  A celebration of his lifes’ journey  will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
