Gary Gladhill

Gary W. Gladhill, 60, of Walkersville, MD passed away on Sunday October 4, 2015 at his home. Born on October 18, 1954, in Frederick, MD he was the son of Ray M. Gladhill and the late Dorothy R. Gladhill. Gary grew up in Mountaindale, MD attending Lewistown Primary Schools and graduating in 1973 from Thomas Johnson High School. He was active in wrestling and baseball throughout his youth.

In 1975, Gary married Vicki Baker Gladhill and began his career as a federal employee at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission where he worked until retirement in 2007. Since retirement he has enjoyed golfing, his continued love of hunting and taking care of his farmette.

He is survived by Vicki J. Gladhill; father Ray M. Gladhill, daughter Amanda Gladhill Mariani, son Jason R. Gladhill, granddaughter Isabella N. Mariani, grandson Anthony A. Mariani. He is also survived by many family, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy R. Gladhill, and brother Dale Gladhill.

The family will receive friends on Thursday October 8th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 10:00am on Friday October 9th, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home services beginning at 11:00am officiated by Rev. Ann Schlossnagle.

Burial will follow at Resthaven.

In lieu flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gary’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Liver Foundation.
